BRAND STRATEGY AND STRATEGIC PLANNING
We provide systematic plans for your brand identity and brand perception, and set the long-term goals that everything else answers to. While aligning resources and activities, we keep your brand image consistent across every channel it appears in.
From our recent work

- Aligning budgets, teams and calendars behind the plan
- Consistency checks across creative, media and digital
Where it sits
Brand Strategy is one of eight things we do, and it rarely travels alone: a film needs a media plan behind it, a campaign needs creative that holds up in print and on a phone. We work across all of them from our studios in Mumbai and Dubai, which is what makes us an integrated agency rather than a specialist one.
Who we do this for
Four sectors, each with its own conditions - the language a farmer buys in, the approvals a state body works through, the second a shopper gives a shelf, the specification an engineer signs off.

Questions
About Brand Strategy
- What does a brand strategy engagement with More Idea actually produce?
- A written position for the brand - who it is for, what it stands against, and the long-term goals everything else answers to - plus the research behind it and a plan that aligns budgets, teams and calendars. It is the document the creative, media and digital work is then measured against.
- Do you work on brand strategy without also running the campaign?
- Yes. Strategy is a standalone engagement, and some clients take the plan to their own teams. Where we do run the campaign, the advantage is that the same people who set the position are the ones producing the work, so nothing is lost in a handover.
- Can you reposition an existing brand rather than launch a new one?
- Most of our strategy work is repositioning. It usually starts with brand perception research - what the audience currently believes, which is rarely what the brand intended - and then works back to what has to change in the identity, the messaging and the channels.
- Do you handle brands selling outside major cities?
- Yes. A large part of our work is for brands whose buyers are in rural and semi-urban India, where trust travels through dealers, demonstration and regional language rather than metro media. The strategy has to account for that from the start, not at execution.
